-- About Tjebbe --

“As a kid I did a lot of gymnastics. I loved to tumble around and learn all kinds of tricks.

I could do that for hours and hours and that’s how I spend a lot of my days.

Later, I became a gymnastics teacher. I also enjoyed that a lot, although I tried to give my own spin to it.

In my classes I created an environment that was playful and stimulating.

Although it was my biggest passion for many years, gymnastics can be rigid,

with little room for playing around and creative movement. The reason why I decided to quit.

Many years later, I saw some people doing Acro(Yoga) in the park.

It instantly got my attention and I was drawn to this group of people.

Before I knew it I was flying upside down, and feeling a lot of joy and excitement.

I was instantly hooked and felt that the passion I once had for gymnastics was coming back.

In acro there’s much more space for personal exploration.

Pretty quickly acro became more than just a sport to me, it was a way to connect

with people, play, and to discover other countries. I met a lot of new people with

the same kind of passion for moving, like my partner Sander.

He has been my boyfriend for many years now. So I even found love through acro!

Together we visit different acrofestivals all over Europe.

Now, many years later acro is still a huge passion.

I teach workshops and started performing at festivals.

Because it gives me so much joy, I also enjoy sharing that pleasure with others.

I am someone who gives a lot of trust. If you think you can do something,

you have already mastered half of a trick/flow and I find that process interesting.

As a teacher, I sometimes feel like a semi-cheerleader,

giving students the courage to try things they think they can’t do.

I like to stimulate confidence in their own body and abilities.

Playfulness, patience and curiosity are keywords that suit me as a teacher.”

-- About Micol --

RYT 500 - Embodied Vinyasa - Brain Based Yoga - Acroyoga - Rituals - Music

Micol’s professional roots can be found between Florence and the sunny island of Sicily, in Italy,

where she was born and first moved into the yoga universe.

Her learning is rooted in her Progressive Ashtanga original practice,

but integrated with all the wisdom and the improvements brought by the most recent scientific discoveries.

She firmly believes in the importance of function over form.

Her style can be playful and challenging, but always respectful of everyone's unique process.

She strongly believes that the ultimate teacher lies

within and her classes are designed to help listen to this guidance.

She is also an acroyoga teacher with Partner Acrobatics and a Reiki Master

with a background in art and music.

She likes to use acroyoga as a way to challenge and expand the comfort zone.

This practice helped her to face fears in a fun and safe way, while developing

new awareness and trust in the abilities of the body and in the people involved in the play.

It made her a better listener and communicator.

She is passionate about sharing this journey with others, building community

through play and awakening the inner child in her students.

When not on the yoga mat she loves to read about anatomy and neuroscience and play on her harmonium.
