Roald Penning, teacher & co-founder Playful People Tribe
As an AcroYogi, Holistic massage practitioner and lover of movement,
I love sharing my experience with others.
I teach authenticity, AcroYoga and the art of touch. Before I discovered AcroYoga I was an acrobat for 18 years, starting from the circus school.
What I enjoy most is the wonderful blend of qualities AcroYoga embodies:
Fun & challenge in Acrobatics and loving kindness in the Healing Arts.
In my classes I enjoy blending different arts and styles of physical training and movement.
The best way to learn is by having fun!
So expect our AcroYoga Adventures to open your heart and bring a smile to your face, as well as create a greater sense of community and confidence.
Marijke van der Linde, teacher & co-founder Playful People Tribe
‘What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?’ AcroYoga guides me to overcome my fears. It helps me to build trust, in myself and others.
It reminds me that life can be playful, that learning can be playful. It shows me what I’m capable of. And what happens during the practice translates to my daily life.
It feels great to be able to teach this to others. I do this with a lot of enthusiasm and patience. Teaching playfulness and fun is the best job in the world.
AcroYoga came on my path after years of dancing, kickboxing, running and yoga. I instantly fell in love. The teamwork, the playfulness, the gracefulness, strength elements and healing arts: everything I love about sports and movement combined.
I've been in a traineeship with Roald for the last two years and expanded my teaching skills with two AcroYoga International immersions, in acrobatics and healing arts.
Marieke Drent, teacher
I trained with several Dutch teachers, such as Det Rijven and Wybren Wouda. In addition to my classes in partner acrobatics, I followed the clown training at ‘Buus‘ in Delft and several other mime courses around The Hague area, followed by a course at the theatre school in Amsterdam.
My dream was to combine my two passions: create and perform. And Since 2009 I'm performing with ‘Circus Klomp’ and several other mime and acrobatics groups.
When I discovered AcroYoga, it felt like coming home. Tuning in with your own body and partner, connecting, giving trust, building together as a team and reaching great heights together. That makes me feel really happy. It’s great that I can pass that on!
After following a teaching course given by Det Rijven and Jim Klinkhamer I started teaching myself: workshops and courses acrobatics in Israel, Russia, USA, UK and The Netherlands.
