Roald Penning, teacher & co-founder Playful People Tribe
As an AcroYogi, Holistic massage practitioner and lover of movement,
I love sharing my experience with others.
I teach authenticity, AcroYoga and the art of touch. Before I discovered AcroYoga I was an acrobat for 18 years, starting from the circus school.
What I enjoy most is the wonderful blend of qualities AcroYoga embodies:
Fun & challenge in Acrobatics and loving kindness in the Healing Arts.
In my classes I enjoy blending different arts and styles of physical training and movement.
The best way to learn is by having fun!
So expect our AcroYoga Adventures to open your heart and bring a smile to your face, as well as create a greater sense of community and confidence.

‘What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?’ AcroYoga guides me to overcome my fears. It helps me to build trust, in myself and others.
It reminds me that life can be playful, that learning can be playful. It shows me what I’m capable of. And what happens during the practice translates to my daily life.
It feels great to be able to teach this to others. I do this with a lot of enthusiasm and patience. Teaching playfulness and fun is the best job in the world.
AcroYoga came on my path after years of yoga, kickboxing, yoga, meditation, tantra. I instantly fell in love. The teamwork, the playfulness, the gracefulness, strength elements and healing arts: everything I love about movement of body & mind combined.
I've been in traineeship with Roald for several years before I started to co-teach and expanded my skills with AcroYoga immersions - in acrobatics and healing arts - Thai Yoga massage and Yin Yoga.
I can’t imagine what my life would be like today if I didn’t go to that first AcroYoga class. But more important, I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t met all the lovely people in this fantastic AcroYoga community. It brings me so much happiness every day.
I started AcroYoga at a difficult time in my life. It taught me to live in the moment, surrender, trust and that it’s ok to be 100% me. Every-time when I'm flying, I feel free! Because I can't think about other things 'than living in the moment’.
I feel so thankful that I can share the transformation AcroYoga can bring as a teacher! I really enjoy to challenge myself and my students, I enjoy the twinkle in their eyes when they're playing. If they are happy, I’m happy. It’s called ‘mudita’, an unselfish joy of happiness of others.
I’m a certified AcroYoga teacher (AcroYoga International) and besides that, I'm a pilates- and yogateacher and physiotherapist. I love sharing all my knowledge and experience about he body & mind with my students.
