About The Event

Imagine getting together with a playful & loving AcroYoga tribe in the middle of a nature reserve, surrounded by woods and medieval castles…

Daily AcroYoga, Therapeutic Flying & Thai Massage workshops on all levels.

Playing in the sun as wild deer and owls are watching us…

Bodywork & dessert parties, healthy fresh food prepared by wonderful cooks, lots of time to play together, campfires under the stars & much more...

This week is about relaxing, getting off the grid (we’re throwing in a digital detox free of charge), deepening connections & enjoying nature.

Last year we had a wonderful first, and this year we offer a thoroughly upgraded summer experience.

This is a week filled with fun, playfulness & dedication to reach higher skill levels in your AcroYoga practice.

We offer fun & challenge for multiplel levels, from absolute beginners to more advanced ninja’s.

Expect to upgrade your acrobatic skills, deepen your Thai Massage knowledge and experience an overall refinement in your movement practice.

Also, an amazing cook will join us.

She will design a week of wonderful (veggie) meals, spiced with fresh herbs from the garden and infused with lots of love.

Besides AcroYoga you can

√Hike in the beautiful forest

√Swim in the lake

√Or cool off in the little river nearby

√Gather around the campfire, listen to the owls, sing songs and count the stars…

Or perhaps:

√Spend some time reading, writing or having a moment of silence: it’s all possible.

Every day Roald Penning and Marijke van der Linde will offer AcroYoga flows, Standing Acrobatics, Therapeutic Flying and Thai Yoga Massage to help you:

√ Upgrade and refine your skill and fun-levels

√ Sink (hang) deeper into relaxation

√ Give & receive healing touch and loving connection

You can also enjoy other workshops: as a participant you are invited to share your knowledge and experience. Last year for instance, we experienced tango and yin yoga.

This year the exact offering is still a surprise, but things you might encounter include:

Authentic relating

Creative writing

Gentle breath work

Do you have a specific skill you’d like to share? Feel very welcome to contact us, so we can share your gifts with the group.

In the northern part of the Dordogne, in the Parc Naturel Périgord Limousin, in the middle of unspoiled nature, lies the hamlet of La Pinalie, surrounded by woods and meadows. Here the paved road turns into a sandy path into the woods. Roe deer, foxes, barn owls and lizards are the silent forest dwellers that can still be found here.

Our lovely host Maïté Volpato, Roalds’ old dance teacher, owns two beautifully restored farmhouses in the middle of this nature reserve. She knows everything about wildlife, adventurous trails and the best sightseeing spots in the area and loves to share stories about animals and plants.

Take a peek at her beautiful place:

La Pinalie consists of two 18th century farmhouses that have been restored in authentic style with beamed ceilings, stone walls, flagstones and a fireplace.

The larger house La Pinalie 1 has a patio / garden courtyard with views of the garden and majestic trees.

The smaller house La Pinalie 2 overlooks a large meadow with woods.

There are 1-person, 2-person and 4-person rooms for rent. But you can also bring your own camper or tent and camp in the meadows.

You’re free to stay longer if you like*. This will give you time to visit the medieval castles and abbeys, prehistoric caves and farmers' markets in the nearby villages. You can also ride horses or discover the area along the rivers with a canoe. La Pinalie is surrounded by national parcs and not to far away from the Mediterranean Sea, so enough to discover and enjoy.

*You can arrange this with Maïté.

I am an AcroYogi, teacher of authenticity and lover of movement and touch.

I started acrobatics 18 years ago, and have been teaching AcroYoga for more than 7 years.

What I enjoy about AcroYoga is the wonderful blend of disciplines it embodies: Fun & challenge in Acrobatics and loving kindness in the Healing Arts.

Blending different arts and styles of physical training and movement is what I love. I teach with humor and am convinced that the best way to learn is by having fun.

Expect my classes to open your heart and bring a smile to your face, as well as create a greater sense of community and confidence.

‘What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?’ I have many fears, but always challenge myself to overcome them (I'm a flyer with fear of heights: yes, they exist). AcroYoga guides me in that. It helps build trust, in myself and others. It reminds me that life can be playful, that learning can be playful. It shows me what I’m capable of. And that what happens during the practice translates to my daily life.

It feels great to be able to teach this to others, while co-teaching an assisting Roald. I do this with a lot of enthusiasm and patience.
